We are committed to providing a prepared environment that encourages young minds to shape themselves and develop practical, intellectual, innovative, physical, and social discipline.We have journeyed with children for 26+ years and they with us. We have grown together and shared a focused journey. What is wonderful about our journey is that it continues, along different paths and avenues, but with a specific vision: to find ourselves within the connectivity of the universe.Connecting with children has been a great joy and satisfaction, seeing them evolve from infancy to early adulthood, and being part of a team that shares a culture which is an integral part of our philosophy.We prepared our environment with experienced and trained adults. They guide and promote independence, confidence, self-discipline, and respect for each child's personal and social life. At KGM, we work hard to follow the educational philosophy and methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, providing an environment that encourages children to develop their in-built innovative potential.It's FUNdamental learning for a strong FOUNDATION of life.

Inspired by Piaget's stages, our Montessori materials engage children in concrete, exploratory thinking. Concepts come alive through manipulation, observation, and discovery, not rote learning.
Social-Emotional Growth

A Spark of Inspiration
Shantha was working in a firm when Maria Montessori's work became a spiritual awakening for her. Inspired by the late Sri Lingappa and her spouse, she opened for Kids. Garden Montessori, House of Children on June 6th, 1999.
Document Verification
The first year began with just 7 children in a small house, with minimal advertisements, word of mouth through friends in the neighborhood. Within a year, 7 had grown to 18. The KGM movement had begun.
Expansion & Evolution
As KGM grew, the small house could no longer contain the community. The school expanded to other houses and additional floors. New skills were learnt even packing and moving furniture between spaces, all in service of the children.
Pandemic & Resilience
When the world paused, KGM did not. During the pandemic we began constructing a purpose-built Montessori space with a fresh look. Online and contact classes continued without interruption, our children were never left without learning.
A New Home
KGM entered its beautiful new environment in 2021, a purpose-designed Montessori space that reflects everything the school stands for: child-height, light- filled, welcoming, and alive with possibility.
Celebrating 26 Years
Today, KGM is a Government-registered, Montessori-certified institution serving South Bangalore. Our alumni return. Our community grows. Our vision remains unchanged: every child deserves to be a discoverer.
